Reviews Overview

Most Liked

The standout favorite is the halloumi fritters, praised for their crispy exterior and delightful flavor. Diners also rave about the haddock and chips, a classic favorite that rarely disappoints. The craftsmanship behind each dish shines, with the squid receiving special mention as "the best ever" from regulars. The selection of local craft beers adds to the experience, allowing guests to enjoy a drink from nearby breweries while munching on well-portioned starters. The cozy atmosphere and quick service make dining here a breeze, whether sitting in or opting for takeout. Families appreciate the accommodating staff and kid-friendly options, ensuring even the youngest diners feel welcome.

Most Disliked

While many reviews are overwhelmingly positive, some diners have mentioned the occasional wait during busy hours, especially during peak dinner times. A small number of customers felt that certain prices were higher than expected, particularly for the larger platters. Limited seating can also become an issue; during weekends or special events, finding a spot may require a bit of patience. A few patrons have expressed a desire for more vegetarian options, indicating that while the seafood menu is robust, a wider array of choices might attract more diverse diners.

Old station masters house next to Bingley station very successfully converted into a high end fisheries with a well stocked bar. 3 cask, 4 craft,1 cider on draught. Bar menu available and would recommend the 3 starters for £12 offer. The spam & haloumi fritters were delicious. Have again visited since the 1st review and the food menu has expanded. We got 6 shareable starters between 3 of us for £30 like a tapas which were really good and certainly filled us. The cask beers on offer were from Bingley and Wishbone who are 2 excellent local breweries.

Was interested to see how this building had been transformed because prior to it being bought and transformed it was a blight on the area. And of course who doesn't love Chips?. Theyve done a great job splitting this into a takeaway, a restaurant and a bar. I felt the service was great, the food vsme quick and despite other reports it was reasonably priced and hot. 4 of us including 2 kids all had Chips with extras. And drinks. Still worked out at only £7 each sitting in. They deserve local support and are polite. Unlike another nearby chip shops staff. 5*

Great location for a beer after getting off the train. Not sampled the food, but good selection of beers in the bar and outside seating. Recommended

We've been twice now since it's reopened and the food is absolutely amazing and they have an excellent selection of reasonable priced drinks. The food is lovely and fresh and really well presented and the staff are all very welcoming. It gets a 5 star rating from us and we're looking forward to going again. We've even recommended this place to our family and friends. The squid 🐙 according to my husband is the best he's ever had. Thanks for a lovely experience 😊

Ate indoors here for first time this evening. Have watched its renovation from derelict eyesore with interest. Very impressed with refurbishment and extension. Decor is clean and modern with good use of railway memorabilia. Friendly staff. Seniors' menu is excellent value. Starter, standard size fish and chips with mushy peas, hot drink or orange juice all for £9.95 pp. Wide range of starters. My haddock and halloumi kebabs were delicious. Others enjoyed devilled whitebait, and battered king prawns. The main course was great, succulent fish, not dry and not greasy, with light, crispy batter. Gluten free batter was readily available and pronounced delicious. Wines and beers at reasonable prices. We ate indoors and there are outside tables. Bar area indoors for those who just fancy a drink. Highly recommended.
